Rosie Alabaster studied for her BA Theatre Design and MA in Scenography at Central St Martins School of Art and graduated in 1998 and 2000.
Theatre Design work includes We Didn't Mean To Go To Sea (2016), Oysters, Margaret Catchpole, We Didn’t Mean to go to Sea, The Anatomist, Beyond the Breakers, Another Three Sisters, East Anglian Psychos, The Day the Earth Wobbled a Bit and Master of Mayhem for Eastern Angles. Other work includes An Experiment with an Air PumpThe Royal Court Upstairs, Macbeth, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Amadeus Derby Playhouse; The Tempest for Cambridge Arts Theatre; Shakespeare Revue at Salisbury Playhouse, The Miser for the Wolsey Theatre.
Between 2005 and 2013 she focused primarily on lecturing in Theatre Design and Installation Art at Royal Holloway, University of London.
Rosie is also a writer and illustrator of children's books.
